(Working for others Vs Self)

I am following my passion rather than to be self- employed or to work for other. I love writing and talking and was continuing as a passion. I worked for Radio Station but I never thought of it as a work as I was doing it for the sake of love.

However I was growing and the responsibility grew more so right now I am working under a company. Working for others or to work for self has its own merits and demerits.

Merits of working for a company:

·       You earn a fixed salary in a month and there isn’t any risk involved in terms of fixed income as you’ll get it anyhow.

·       You can learn their company rules and regulation and can get to know about the work procedure and doesn’t have to worry about other aspects like logistics and management part, you not need to worry about the things needed in the office as the office will provide it.

Demerits of working for a company:

·       Monotonous job

·       Lack of privacy

·       Loss of creativity

·       Loss of further opportunity

·       Loss of ownership as how hard you work, the company is of others and you’ll feel valueless as someday in a life, we’ve to retire and someone will take up your position and you’ll feel like regret of spending the whole timely creativity for a company which is not of ours.

Merits of self-employed

·       Higher chances of creativity to showcase

·       Unlimited chances of earning income

·       Working anytime and from anywhere without restriction

·       Feeling of ownership

Demerits of self-employed

·       Higher risk in operating the company

·       The employee working under can fraud us

·       Higher cost in operating the company

·       Higher chances of getting in loss

·       Always in depression regarding whether if I can cover the expenses or not

·       Lack of sound sleep

·       Can’t enjoy the quality time with family and with friends due pressure of work

I think working under other is good until and unless we can show our creativity and provides us a chance for further growth. And starting our own business is good if only we have researched fully about our business prospects that how we’ll be conducting it and also if someone has passion to earn higher and to give back something great to the society. The latter has more risk as well as higher chances of earning than to work for others but for starters it’s always good to work under others.
