 (Kids living with the Gazette)

The generations keep on upgrading and are modified from time to time from its earlier version, so does with the human beings and their updated versions - children’s.

My grandparents grew in the generation where there were no-vehicles and the schools were only limited to certain high class groups and there were ample lands to play on.

My parents grew in the generation where there were schools but only limited - and only some schools were open for the Nepalis citizens, in their time there were adequate vehicles to commute and there were ample lands were they could grow vegetables and cereals and would play the games outdoor and there were few entertaining elements related to media for them to enjoy.

When I was born in the year 1990 A.D. I think, we are the last batch of these Kathmandu citizens to enjoy playing on the grounds as many houses are built where people from other parts of the country as well as the foreigners are settling here - building houses and expanding their business. Ample amount of vehicles were playing on the road, as well as there were lots of modern, English schools for us to study. Only few computers were there when I grew up in school.

Now, today’s generations are the ones to enjoy the gazette world and to live up with the modern technology. On the present generation - the technology has been upgraded with additional various amazing features. Last week my father’s sister gave me an android phone to transfer a nath (an Islamic song), I was unable to use that phone and gave it to my small brother and he firmly used and transferred a file on her phone.

With the invention of technology and with the modification of land into concrete buildings, today’s kids are using phones to enjoy playing, but I am afraid that today’s kids will not be able to enjoy and live physically healthily, the rate of obese among today’s kids are on rise and other health related problems can be seen on today’s kids.

The solution to it is to build a community playground where the kids can come and play and live refreshed - healthily than to sit on the cozy sofa and play and eat there and spend their most of the time of a couch.

The parents should provide their time in the upbringing and should spare time to tell them about the real natural things and show them and teach them the old playing rules that they as well as their ancestors played to enjoy.

If they are not exposed to the old way of playing games- outdoors, then it’s almost predicted how their life will be controlled by and their life turning into seeing screens only - leaving them with cognitive default and loss of creativity.
