Review of the movie Ram leela AKA Golliyonki Rasleela-Ramleela by Moin Uddin

Review of the movie Ram leela AKA Golliyonki Rasleela-Ramleela by Moin Uddin

Same kind movie in which there is a sad ending despite everything is clear between the two families the boy and the girl die triggering each other bullet after kissing.

Cast:Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Richa Chadda, Supriya Pathak, Sharad Kelkar, Gulshan Devaiah
Director:
Sanjay Leela Bhansali

"tere liye toh siney mein gloi khalu" so this is one of the dialogue that the Leela the main heroine of the movie says for her man Ram (Ranvir Singh) in one of their intimate scene, later her sister in law (Richa Chadda) knock the door saying her mother (Baa) [Supriya Pathak] is calling her downstairs to arrange her marriage with the London based NRI, who is portrayed as a simple, (ekdamai sojho, bhaiya types that what we call in Nepali).

Now with the Bhaiya types of guy who want to make love? Do you want a bhaiya type guy to be your man for your rest of your life? If your answer is NO then how leela can marriy that NRI? So it's predicted.

The story is a common , both the sides are against their khandan, Ram is from the Rajadi family and Leela is from  Sanera family the story is presented as their tussle between their khandaan's which is from the time immemorial i.e. since 500 years their tussle is on the way.

The location and the set that is portrayed in the movies are shown of the Sholey movie types. And also if you have watched Hollywood movie Romeo and Juliet, then you will say it, the set looks like the same as shown in the movie Romeo and Juliet.

There is nothing anything new in this movie; their love cum fight is shown in an ancient as well as in a modern avatar.

So, this is the age of Mobile phone, so they actors communicate with their phone. The director has used the ancient style in a modern way. As there is a saying "old wine in a new bottle", yes exactly, the same is the case with some of the scenes in the movie.

Depika is good with her roles but this is not the best one as what we have seen of her in her other movies. Ranvir Singh is good, he has been presented with a Six pack , but the director have used him unnecessarily in  some of the scenes.

Dialogues used in the movie can be presented nicely if the director has made them practice well, seems like the actors were not trained enough for dialogue delivery, it was like, dialogue hai storyline mein toh kehdo types.

Supriya Pathak(Baa) is good with her roles as well as Richa Chadda(sister in law of leela).

The songs are of no-use in the movie, but then its Bollywood movie then song toh banta hi hai…………..

The movie is good and the cost of making is also huge, I guess, as the set and the theme is extravagant so there is no any question for that.

For me, it's ok; as I am nicely adjusted with what Ram Leela Bhansali make his product of: the big set, Rajmahal types, the same kind of dialogue, theme, set, Costumes and all.

Good for the audience who are in love or in a living relationship as while watching the movie together there, they can generate some kind of romantic vibes within. So, what happens after that, you know better than me ;)

This movie may not be liked by others as the story is same like the other movie. Watch or do not watch it's all in your mood.

Sincerely yours,
Moin Uddin
