MOIN UDDIN
I am fascinated by the
success of women and I truly do respect them and share their life stories with
others to motivate other similar ladies who have potential but have not gone
through it.
They are the ones who
are actual change makers. However they lack confidence within themselves. I
have met lots of Women in my life. Some have accomplished huge success and some
due to lack of confidence are sitting just idle cursing their own fate.
Some women were there
in the past as well as in present some are doing great works. There are some
women whom we can feel proud of .Melba Devi Gurung is the 1st women to record
song in India in 1928 and became the 1st Nepali women to record a song.
Bindeshwari Shah became the first Female ambassador and worked in India during
1989-90. Dwarika Devi Thakurani was appointed as a 1st female minister of Nepal
in 1960. Rakshya Rana, at the age of 24 she became the 1st Nepali lady to fly
in the air also she is the 1st Nepali Women Pilot of Nepal.
Today we are going to
celebrate 'International day of a girl child' as since October 11, 2012, it has
been officially marked this day to raise awareness on various issues related to
girls.
The International Day
of the Girl Child initiative began as a project of Plan International, a non-governmental
organization that operates worldwide. The idea for an international day of
observance and celebration grew out of Plan International's Because I Am A Girl campaign,
which raises awareness of the importance of nurturing girls globally and in
developing countries in particular. Plan International representatives in
Canada approached the Canadian federal government to seek support for the
initiative. A coalition of
supporters raised awareness of the initiative internationally.
Despite trying our best
efforts we are still facing severe problems. Time and again many brutal cases
regarding women are being heard. Our women's are being raped, molested as well
as sold to brothels and also they are beaten up severely if they do not agree
with their in-laws, mostly these cases are of the ones who are illiterate and
who are conservative minded who doesn't want to explore the right path by dong
findings and research with logics.
Lots of organizations
are raising concern regarding empowering women. And that it is for their betterment.
But, what if, when
women herself doesn't start her career or stay positive? What if, she only
thinks her life is very useless? I cannot do anything in my life? I am born to
face difficulties only?
So it's a matter of
concern for every one of us to counsel those ladies mentally. Only raising
voices in the auditorium or say in any other streets won't help those ladies to
start their life with courage and determination. Suitable Jobs should be
created for them and also their interest has to be nurtured, by doing so we can
at least help them to believe in their own strengths. Let's contribute from our
side to help our ladies to achieve success in their life. This will ultimately
help us and help Our Nepal to prosper, economically as well as globally.
Passion has to come
from within, if a woman has a burning desire to change their present status
into something courageous and beautiful with devotion in her work than, surely
she'll chive the success in her life. The main problem I have seen in them s
the hesitation, will I be able to do that work? Will people appreciate my
works? If she believes in her dream and come out from the comfort zone then
yes, other will also come to help and her and try to shine their dreams, only
if she truly has a passion from working to make positive changes.
