Great lesson from a Pigeon

-Moin Uddin

I every time learn something each day from the people around me, sometimes even with the birds and animals around.

Recently I’ve learned a great lesson from a pigeon. It was before Dashain festival that the male and female pigeon romanced each other and had slowly made love; they started making a nest together by collecting broken branches of a plant and from a tree.
I watched all that from my window as they built nest just in front of my house.

After two days the female pigeon laid a single egg and after next two days she laid another. The interesting and the most valuable thing that I learned from them was the love for each other. The male pigeon used to tease the female and would romance with his Girl friend, she shyly used to run away but again she would let him do the naughty stuff.

After laying eggs the female used to protect the egg most however her husband would come and give a turn letting her roam around and have a free time of hers. She would come and the male used to go. The male fulfilled all his responsibility of bringing foods for her and would care much by being attentive almost every time.

After almost 4 weeks the eggs broke and their babies got life.
The pigeon then fulfilled their responsibility of parents by feeding them and slowly their babies were growing, they taught them all the life lessons, how to fly and so on.

This is a great lesson that I’ve learned from them. One needs to have a fun time being in love with the person that you are with and also have a cozy time romancing and teasing with the loved ones and then after marrying, not letting the love fade and growing love more and more often also fulfilling own responsibility of being a wonderful parent. One should make time for their family and children and should provide a personal space for having a personal time enjoying the thing which one likes. Not disturbing the respect and the dignity of the ones we are with.
