Remittance and it's possibilities
Earning and sending money from the foreign country is called a remittance.People go there and work, earn money and then they send their hard earned income to their home land. This is the condition that's revolving around here in Nepal for past few years.People of our country are bound to go there to work.they don't have any other alternative rather than to go foreign countries, use their skills and talents, there precious time just to make sure that their family members there in homeland fulfills their own needs.it's a compulsion. Here in country they don't get any jobs in fact if they get than it would not be the one that matches their skills and talents and also there is not much organization and industries where they can work.due to political situations and there unions in various big big organizations has led the situation more chaotic.
Due to this many organizations are being shut down or are compelled to shut these organizations.Recently SURYA NEPAL one of the pioneering industry has closed its factory due to dispute between workers and management.
Despite all those negativity our country has earned a lot of revenues from remittance.Last fiscal year Rs 2 hundred and 54 million worth of remittance has been entered here in Nepal. It's a 36% more than the previous year.
Not only our country Nepal.Indeed other countries like India,Pakistan,Bhutan,Mexico are also helping there country by the remittance. It has been a good source of earning foreign currency.
It is not a long term solution but the people who has only concentration for today to fulfill basic needs gets more benefit from it than that of others.
Workers not only go there for work but also gain lot of experiences, knowledge, skills which is also the asset that is to be utilized critically and safely. If Government plans and make provision for these workers and if provided them with good platform and opportunities than the face of country can be changed.
Easy and hassle free access to loans can also help them to start business here in the homeland.NRN'S are demanding the dual citizenship which must be provided to them after analyzing critically regarding what and how are they going to contribute for the country? Experience sharing program could help it more.Workshops, training's,seminars could help to exchange ideas to do something more creative than the previous ones.utilizing remittance in the productive sector would help it more for the individual investors and also the country would get more benefit from it in a long term.
let's share the experience and knowledge for the betterment of everyone:)
