Impression Horrific (Mend the roads ASAP)

The Kathmandu Upatyaka Khane Pani Limited (KUKL) has started digging the holes to lay down the pipes of water supply to deliver the water from Melamchi project.

Well this is something relieving news for the thirty citizens of Kathmandu, but the roads should be mended as soon as possible.

It's really difficult to park the vehicles. One of my teachers parked his vehicle at my office due to difficulties to park at his home.

There seems to be the biasness of the government in mending roads.

The VIP roads from Maharajgunj to Lazimpat has been mended to its earliest and from the Thamel to Nayabazar as well as other lanes and main roads of the Kathmandu are in a devastating condition. As well as the roads of Gyaneshwor to Maitidevi is like the roads of the undeveloped villages – I'ts worst than those.

Few days ago while I was returning I didn't knew the road was in a deteriorating condition, I rode a bike, then as soon as I was on that muddy road, I luckily survived the accident.

I really see the pity condition of our guest i.e. foreigners – they are walking to go to their destination or return back to the hotel. The impression on them regarding Kathmandu may have an adverse effect for our tourism sector in a long run as they are the ones to talk about the country in the international arena.

The government should give priority to every road and should mend it as soon as possible. There shouldn't be any biasness in mending it as every road is of equal importance.

It's not that only the high profile dignitaries, be it a diplomat or any politician enjoying the well concrete black topped roads –the normal citizen travels most. So the government should give first priority to its general people and should be aware of its image that what other might portray and what Nepal could lose tourism potential in a long run.
