Mom Scolds
" Nayan, pay attention, I know you are talented and you deserve that but
due to your carelessness, you came second in dance competition." Had you
focused, you wouldn't have missed that dance step. I am really sad. I've called
your dance teacher and you better get up before 4 in the morning." from
4:30 am, he'll be training you till 8:00 am."
"You
know Nayan, how much I love you beta, please understand our value, we are not
the cheap class family, you know, our ancestors have maintained that legacy and
now we are maintaining. Nayan, you also should maintain that legacy."
Her mother
kisses on her forehead and then leaves.
It's 4:00
am. Nayan is still in sleep. Her mom knocks her door. "Nayan, Nayan, oh
darling, wake up, your dance teacher has arrived, wake up, in 5 minutes your
dance class will start." Nayan says "OK mom, I'll be there on the
hall in 5 minutes." she brushes her teeth, wash her face, puts on moisturizing
cream on her soft cheeks, ties her hair, wears her dance dress, puts on her
dance shoes and goes to the hall.
Music is
being played, when Nayan reaches the dance hall, she see her dance teacher
doing different steps of dancing which she never have seen him doing before.
Her dance teacher
Pravat is young, vibrant, energetic, tall and handsome.
He says
" Nayan, come, today we'll do different steps of dancing, I hope you'll
like it."
He sees
Nayan in a sad mood and asks "Nayan, are you disappointed by the
yesterday's result? Oh ho, come on darling" and he puts his hand on Nayan's
shoulders and starts touching her. He then shifts his hand, Nayan understands
his intention and says "you are my dance teacher, its better you teach me
dance, get your hand away from my body." he removes his hand.
She then asks
"Pravat, what lesson have you set for me? I want to know about Hip-hop
dance, you never taught me that. Please teach me this dance."
Pravat says "No,
today I'll teach you contemporary dance, I've brought some dresses for you, so,
go, change your dress as you'll feel comfortable in learning contemporary
dance."
Her
disappointment can be clearly seen but she has no other option than to follow
his order otherwise her mom will ruin her day, lecturing her about their ancestor's
value.
She wears
the dress. Pravat is stunned. Nayan looks really gorgeous. He keeps gazing her.
Nayan says " Pravat, better you teach me rather than to gaze on my
body."
Pravat plays
music. He teaches her some steps. Nayan practices.
She is waiting
for the clock to strike 8:00 am in the morning as she doesn't want to learn
dance from Pravat. As soon as clock strikes 8:00 am, Nayan says "Pravat,
it's 8:00 am and you better teach me Hip-Hop, next time. I am leaving for now.
Bye, Bye." Nayan leaves the hall. Pravat keeps on gazing her.
Nayan comes
to the dining hall. Her mother has made her favorite food "Raspberry".
She says, Nayan, I love you a lot, you're my only daughter. See, I've prepared
a Raspberry for you." Nayan says "Oh mom, I love you too; you are my
best mother, awe, thank you for making my favorite dish." Her mother gives
her the bowl filled with raspberry; she eats, goes to her table and sits there.
She then takes the plate, takes two slice of bread, an apple and a
milkshake."
Her mother
asks her" Nayan, how was your dance class, I know it went great, Pravat is
a wonderful dance teacher." Nayan takes a bite of an apple and says"
Yes, mom." she finishes her milkshake and tries to go away but her mom reminds"
Nayan, see this is not a good habit, you should put the plate on a sink."
and Nayan says" Sorry mom, I forgot" she keeps her plate on the sink
and runs towards her room.
She plays
music. She listens to Eminem songs.
And later
while shuffling she listens to "Tum ho pass mera, Mohit Chauhans
song". She sings along that song. Tears come down towards her cheeks. She
wipes and again sings. And to everybody's surprise she eats chocolate and cries
singing at the same time. She then remembers her days with Manoj.
Episode 2:
Two years
before, when Nayan was in her college, she was in her last semester. She stayed
there on hostel. In a weekend, Nayan along with her friends visited different
places to get away from boredom. Their days were monotonous, same studies, same
exams, same teachers and same boring boys. The boys teased them and the girls
didn't have any effect on them, the boys were like saying the old lines again
and again. Nayan and her friends were used to listening those. one of her
friends says" see these guys, they even don't have any creativity, listening
to these old lines are making my ear ill, I wished some boys would be there and
would tease us, than I would for sure take any other action, you know what I
mean, girls." everybody starts laughing, except Nayan.
Nayan loves
reading Novel as it was her favorite past time and her friends are against
reading novels. They find it boring and most of the time hides her novel.
Till
midnight and sometimes till wee hours her friends kept talking with their
boyfriends on phone. Nayan never understands why they find it so fascinating
talking with boys? She finds it all waste of time. She even sees her friends
hugging their boyfriends and exchanging kisses secretly. And again after
returning to their hostel, they send mobile texts. Nayan is really irritated as
texts tone keep on disturbing her. Her friends usually sleep at 2:00 am and
wakes up at 4:00 am, as this is the time when the hostel in charge wakes them
up.
Nayan is
irritated, and says them that "Girls, I am leaving this room, as I don't
want to ruin your love life, I've told hostel in-charge to shift me to the next
room but girls you all are still my friends, I've not told them anything
regarding you boyfriends, girls, enjoy your love life." and she shifts to
the next room.
As Nayan
enters her new room, she finds it dirty and it is not according to her style,
so she starts decorating her new room. She is fond of decorating and she
decorates her room in such a way that it looks like a newly bought room.
Some of her
friends come and observe her room and gets jealous and they get hypnotized too.
They say Nayan to let then share this room with them. then Nayan says"
Girls you told me the same lines before and I let you in, at-least this time
let me enjoy being alone, why don't you have a nice day with your boyfriends, indeed
they might be waiting you beautiful girls, talking about room, hmm, I'll come
to your room and decorate yours, I'll decorate it beautifully than my room. So
please go as I've to study." Her friend says "ok Nayan, study hard,
as you'll need to help us in exams, however come to our room and decorate as beautifully
as yours, then we shall invite our boyfriend on the room, let them think that
we are the good girls with creativity and choosing us as their girlfriends is a
matter of pride for them." Girls start laughing and leave her room.
The next
evening her friends ask her to go for a movie but she ignores and tells them to
enjoy. She sits in her room. She is bored, doesn't have anything to do, so she
opens her textbook and starts revising lessons. The entire hostel is silent.
She hears a
sound coming; she sees here and there but finds nobody. She even calls her
friend but no-one picks her call. She looks from her window and only the
gatekeeper is there. Small children are playing cricket and some football.
She feels bored;
she then takes out her mobile phone and plays music. She puts on head phone and
starts singing in her own voice. she finds others singing a song, she takes out
her head phone, to check whether there is someone singing, she finds no-one and
again puts on head phone, after some moments she again finds someone singing,
this time she takes out her headphone and yes, someone is singing a song.
Tum ho pass
mera, pass mera jo tum ho………… someone is singing an acoustic version, playing
guitar and singing this song in a melodious voice. Nayan likes the song as it's
one of her favorite song. She sees here and there to find who actually is
singing the song.
Episode 3:
Nayan then searches who that person having a melodious voice
is singing such a beautiful song. She hear that the sound is coming from a
terrace and goes to her terrace; she look here and there and at one corner just
next to her hostel building she find a guy singing. She notices him singing for
a while, as he look at her, she turns back and goes to her room, she prepares
her notes for tomorrow's class and then sleeps.
The next evening again at the same time, she listen different
song and again the same voice she hears. The song that she is hearing is one of
the best songs of her.
Days went by, she thinks of meeting that guy, after a week
she goes to that building which is next to her building where that guy sit and
sing. But he's not there this time. she says to herself " every evening he
sits here and sings but I've come here today to find him and he's not
here." she makes a mind to return back and then the guy calls" hey,
are you looking for me." Nayan says "NO", then he says" why
are you here, then." and she says" hmm, yes, I am here to see you,
actually, you sing well, I like your voice, I listen to your songs sitting on
my hostel room, I feel really happy to listen those songs, by the way my name
is Nayan, what's yours?" he says" Manoj" Nayan again ask him
" why you sing always at the same time?" and Manoj says "as you
are only free at this time so." Nayan says "hey, Manoj, are you
keeping track of me? I even don't know you; also you even don't know anything
about me. For the first time we have met. So, why are you keeping track of
me?" then Manoj replies, "I don't know why, but when I saw you for
the first time, I found you really beautiful." Nayan says "so you
like my beauty, the physical beauty?" Manoj says" you are beautiful,
I saw you, you were far away but now, I can see you more clearly, your eyes are
beautiful, you've a long curly hair and see your complexion, I bet, every boys
will fall for you." and Nayan says " come on, don't try to flirt with
me, I know you boys are all same." she then says him bye and tries to go
but he sing, which compels her to stay. He sing " pehli najar mein kaisha
jadu kardiya (what magic have you done on me at the first sight)……………"
It already 8:30 in the evening and says him that she'll meet
him the next day.
Manoj keeps waiting but Nayan doesn't come. After a week
Nayan comes looking for him. He is on the same place. He says" good to see
you," she says" good to see you too, did you miss me?" and Manoj
says "it was really tough for me but I waited and I knew that you would
come, my belief came true. So, where were you Nayan?" Nayan says "my
hostel in charge gave me punishment as I was late returning to the hostel on
time, so my hostel in charge didn't let me to go out of hostel for a week, as
soon as my punishment was over; I came here to meet you."
"Let's go to the café" says Nayan then Manoj says"
hmm………ok" they go to the nearby café and shares their stories. Nayan
asks" Manoj, since you play as well as sing good songs, so, schedule your
time for me, I really want to sing a song, but you know, I couldn't, as I don't
think I can sing well." Manoj says "Nayan, I shall teach you, I am
not so busy these days, so call me whenever you are free, I'll definitely help
you to sing."
After a long time Nayan feels happy and she starts liking
Manoj. Manoj usually sends her text and Nayan too reply's. Whenever she gets
leisure time, she calls Manoj and he teaches her to sing as well as to play
guitar."
Manoj is a simple guy living just next to Nayan's hostel
building. Beside that he has a dream of becoming a successful man and earning
lots of money also making a reputed name but he doesn't know what exactly he
shall do in future.
Nayan calls Manoj and says him to go to the park. He denies
as he knew he can't buy things for her and also he hasn't any money to go for a
park, so he denies. But Nayan again calls him, this time he doesn't receive her
call. He wish to tell her about his financial condition but he think that after
knowing these all, she might leave him.
The next day again she call but he doesn't receives her call.
For several days she calls him but he doesn't receive any calls. Manoj
thinks" it's better not to take this relationship further otherwise both
shall end up hurting more."
Manoj likes Nayan and he has feelings for her but he controls
himself.
On the other side Nayan is worried and angry as Manoj didn't receive
her calls neither he replied her texts.
After several days, Nayan sees Manoj in one of the market. She
goes in front of him and looks in to his eyes, none of them speaks. Nayan then
slaps Manoj and starts crying, at the same time she hugs Manoj and says "you
are a bad guy, I hate you, I hate you" and after hitting him several punches
she says "I love you." till then the crowd gathers. They crowd stares
at them.
Nayan holds Manoj's hand and goes far away from the crowd. Nayan
then asks him several questions at once but Manoj doesn't speak a word.
He takes her to the place where he usually sits and plays
songs. Nayan ask him so many questions but he doesn't utter any word, instead
he picks up his guitar and starts singing one of his self composed songs.
He expresses his story and also expresses his love for her by
the help of song. Nayan eyes fills with tears and this time she runs towards Manoj
and hugs him and says "I love you, you don't need to worry about financial
problems, I've never expected it from you, rather, I want you, I want your
company, I want you to sing a song for me, that’s it. Talking about money, I've
much, we'll live happily as I am only daughter of my parents and they will do
everything for me, they only want their daughter to be happy and you know Manoj
where my happiness lies, you are my happiness, please don't leave me, and I
can't live without you." Manoj holds her and says " I won't leave
you, but Nayan, I want you to be happy, talking about your parents money, I
don't need any, I need your support, I only need you, we will work together and
earn for ourselves, please have faith in me, I'll always keep you happy."
They both hug and for almost two hours they keep on holding
each other saying romantic words for each other.
Though Manoj doesn't have much money, he manages to bring her
chocolates.
Manoj starts searching for a job. He goes to various companies
and drops his C.V but no any companies give him a job. There, Nayan's final
exam is coming nearer, it's on next week.
Manoj says," Nayan, please have patience, I'll get a job
soon, you better focus on your studies and prepare for your final exam"
but Nayan says" No, I'll be by your side." she even leaves her hostel
and comes to stay with Manoj.
There her hostel in charge informs Nayan's parents. They immediately
come and try to take her with them.
Episode 4:
Nayan doesn't go with her parents.
Nayan says "Manoj is a nice guy and I love him."
she tries to convince them but her parents are not in any mood to listen her. Instead
her parents says " Nayan, you know what, this guy is taking your benefit,
he's using you, better you open your eyes, you know Nayan, you are my only
daughter and I love you a lot, I don't want you to face difficulties in life,
I've much property and I've only earned it for you. This guy can never match
our standard." but Nayan is not in any mood to listen anything bad about
Manoj.
She says" give him some time he'll prove you wrong."
her parents says" ok, we shall grant him a month, say him to earn 20,000
rupees in a month then we'll think further." Manoj accepts the challenge.
From next week Nayan has her final exam. As soon as her exam
finishes, her parents takes her with them. They take her to Germany where her relative
are staying and bars her from using her phone.
Her parents create conspiracy against Manoj and put him in
jail.
Days went by, then week, month and a year. One fine day, her
parents tell her that Manoj has died and shows her his fake photo which looks
like original." Nayan tries to commit suicide but due to strict security
system she can't even commit suicide.
There Nayan is taken care; her mother is with her all the
time. She encourages Nayan to dance as she knows that Nayan has a passion in dancing.
She then starts learning dance and even she gets 1st prize in every dance
completion. Her mother then appoints an in house official dance trainer"
Pravat". She then starts learning dance from him.
"Nayan, Nayan, where you lost?" says her mom. Nayan
wakes up from sleep. She recollects the days being with Manoj. Her mom finds her
crying and asks why are you crying my daughter and she says "mom, do you
know Manoj" and her mom says" yes, that guy, who loved you, yes, tell
me, what happen?" and Nayan says " I know mom he is alive, though
father has presented his photo, which confirms that he has died, but deep
inside, I feel like, he is alive." her mom doesn't utter any word and hug
her and wipes her tears.
After several months, Manoj notices Nayan on television
taking part on dance competition. He then collects information regarding her whereabouts.
He collects money from his friends and flies to Germany.
Finally he reaches to the house where Nayan is kept. He sees
Nayan in her terrace, after several minutes, she turns back, she sees Manoj but
is not sure.
Manoj shuffles his hand and she comes nearer to the tiff of the
terrace and sees that he is her love, Manoj. Manoj points her not to make any
noise. She then silently comes out of her house and meets Manoj. They hug each
other. Nayan's eyes are filled with tears. She says all the story regarding how
her father proved her to believe that he died by showing his fake dead picture.
He then tells Nayan not to worry as he'll take her far away from Germany.
But what they don't know is that Pravat, her dance teacher is
watching them. He directly goes to the palace and tells everything.
Her father comes with his people. Pravat is also there.
What they don't know is, Manoj also has brought his people.
He had collected all those by the help of his song. They were his loyal fans
and they could do anything to make Nayan and Manoj together.
Both of the parties fight. For several hours fight continues.
Slowly Manoj's starts losing battle. Her father takes him in his custody and
beats him so badly. At the same time announces the marriage between his daughters
Nayan with Pravat and orders to kill Manoj.
Manoj's hands and legs are tied.
He sees that Nayan is forcefully made to get married. A
bullet sound is heard. Nayan sees blood coming from Manoj's chest.
Episode 5:
Nayan opens her eyes, she finds herself lying on the bed. She
sees around, her servants are there to take care of her. She then cries. She
thinks that Manoj is killed.
Later she hears Manoj's voice; securities are taking him to
the prison.
The blood that she sees coming from Manoj's body was not his
blood, instead her mom killed one of the securities who was near Monoj as he tries
to kill Manoj. Nayan in fear sees that Manoj died but he is fine and now is in
custody of his father's securities.
They take Manoj and beats him "black and blue." his
pain and screaming can be heard. Listening his screaming makes Nayan cry.
One of Nayan's servants sees her condition and feels pity for
her. She says Nayan not to worry; instead she'll help them to get united. Nayan
thank and hug her. But it's not as easy as what it seems like. Securities are
almost in every place.
After a while Pravat comes and says "now you are going
to be my wife." he looks into Nayan's eyes and also tries to kiss her. She
refuses, but he continues. She then slaps, this makes Pravat angry. He then
slaps Nayan, catches her hair from his left hand and kisses her. Nayan shouts. He
tries to open her clothes but this time her father sees and comes and says
"Pravat, you don't deserve to be my son in law." he tries to call his
securities but this time Pravat threatens to kill Nayan. He then asks him to
surrender.
Nayan's servant watches all the activities and goes to the
place where Manoj is kept. She rescues him. Till then Pravat is still there on
the room with a pistol facing at Nayan's head.
Nayan's father notices Manoj coming silently and tries to
help him but Pravat sees and fires but Manoj escapes. Pravat says" if you
don't go away from here than I'll kill Nayan." Manoj says not to kill
Nayan, instead he says Pravat to surrender.
Manoj tires to show his bravery but Pravat fires at Nayan. Her
father then takes out his pistol and fires Pravat. He dies there.
Nayan is rushed to the hospital; she says to Manoj that"
she shall meet him in next life and says sorry for not being with him in this
life."
She is taken to the operation theater. After an hour doctor
comes and says that Nayan is dead.

Today( December 27, 2012,
Thursday) at exactly 5:31 pm, I met Laxmi Sharma, she is the first female tempo
driver of Nepal (1982) and you know what, I was born 8 years later when she
acquired the Tempo driving license. Can you think of it? She is also the first Female Vehicle mechanic
of Nepal. Having gone through lots of challenges in her life she made a niche
and is all herself by her hard work and determination.
