We are what we think

KATHMANDU, May 28: There are thousands of things that happen around us almost every-time. We tend to think many things regarding career, job, education, relationship and so on, hence we mess up thinking too many stuffs at a single time. We are what we think and to prove this once Swami Vivekananda had said "Whatever you think, that you´ll be. If you think yourself weak, weak you´ll be; if you think yourself strong, strong you´ll be." This statement has great meaning and has a huge impact on me. We most of the time knowingly or unknowingly decide who we are going to be. Those who understand this early, they are the ones who´ll reap most of the fruits in their life.I remember an incident which occurred in our first day of commerce class. We all know what happens in the first day of class. We went through our brief self introduction.
         Five teachers of different subjects walked in, almost in every 45 minutes. We introduced ourselves and almost every teacher told that their subject is very tough and every student should study hard to secure good marks. It was in third lecture class that Economics teacher walked in and as per the drill everyone introduced themselves and after 15th student, the next student gave his introduction like others but he said that he had never studied Economics in his school life. The teacher to this statement remarked, “Oh so sad! It is going to be very tough for you as Economics is a difficult subject and you have to be good in Mathematics and drawing figures. And as you know if you fail in one subject you fail the whole year in this institute.” From the next day, classes started normally and almost after seven months, it was time to appear for board exams and after four months the results were announced. To our surprise the same student who had confessed of never studying Economics secured 90 percent in the subject along with good marks in
other subjects too. When asked how he did it, he said, “I wanted to do my best in Economics and simply worked towards it. No challenge can be big enough to stop me from doing it.”
         If we start sparing some of our time from our busy life and to start thinking it seriously than we find that most people today are what they always wanted to be whether painters, models, actress, teachers, doctors, video jockeys, radio jockeys, environmentalist, writer. They are there because from their early onsciousness that is where they wanted to be.There are certain things to keep in mind in order to achieve what we want. First we need to manage ourselves before we can manage others and have clarity in our goal.
Having faith and belied in self is as important as the inner desire and zeal to achieve the goal. Willingness to work hard and acceptance of weaknesses and failures and striving to correct it is as important as strong determination and will power to overcome all the challenges. The list can go long but these are some of the basic thing, if we keep on working on it than for sure, very soon we´ll achieve what we´ve always
strive for.

Being Optimistic

Most of the time I fear a lot regarding,what is going to happen in my life?How is my future going to be?What will I be doing in a days to come for generating income?Will all my efforts and hard work of  now will just go in vain or else it will reap the sweet fruits from it?There are lots of question that pop's up every now and then into my mind.And I always get disheartened when I cannot myself get the answer from all those self  arising questions.Though I am an optimistic person but when I look the reality of my life then I just cannot hold my emotions and eventually my tears roll down towards my cheeks.
Unlike me there are my cousin too,who else are facing the same problem like me.Where actually the problem lies? or Where the mistake had happened despite of our hard work and effort to sustain our future.
So,The first mistake was done by our Grand parents and then by their child.Ours  is a conservative family and we've a traditional business of operating a bead shop.My Grand Father worked hard and bought a small shop then and after many years he established the niche and from that shop our life is being sustained till yet.Where he did mistake was,he was very strict and always disliked the women of a house doing other works beside doing the beads work.He was autocratic and no-one dared to raise voice against him and do
something great of their own interest.Even his own son didn't raise their voice.Being very strict has had led to suffocate his children's desires and eventually everyone dream started dying due to suffocation.To let this not happen my Grand father should have been bit liberal in their children's interest and desires.SO,this was the first and most dangerous mistake done by my Grand Father.
Second mistake was done by my Grand Parent's children.They were living a safe life as they don't have to work hard to earn a living as my Grand father worked hard at his shop and they were having a safe life from the income earned from his beads shop.No-one dared to do something of their own.They were just helping my Grand Father in preparing beads product and were just happy doing that.They never thought of the future en-devours,like,What will happen in the future? or How will we survive if the Grand father shop will not reap income?Had they given priority in thinking of future prospects we the third generation would have not faced so many problems.My Grand parent's children never dared to expand his shop.Had they expanded the shop or opened some branches in various places,it would have been easy for us.
Now everything is on the god's kindness.We the third generation are having a tough time by the mistakes done by the first and second generation.We have so many dreams and desires.Also we have worked hard to fulfill our aspirations,hardly we are able to achieve some.We are educated and have faced the reality of life.Though second generation also have faced reality but they never learned from it.Had their heart and brain's string have matched with the right tune,it would have created the magic,but sad to say,no any tune was set between their heart and brain.
We the third generation are facing a tough time creating our own space and name in this 21st century world.Though we are highly educated,Have a good vision,resourceful,passionate,competing enough but all our talents are being wasted.It's getting rotten.I would like to present the example of the apple that the
Humla,Jumla,Mustang,Jhomsom produces.It is high in quality,taste good,the prices are affordable but it's of less use as it never got the right market and every year, tons of apples have to be thrown as it gets rotten.Had the people of those places had done some innovative thing to expand the apple market there,than till yet something miracle would have happened and the people all over the world would have enjoyed eating those juicy and tasty apples.But sad to say they never dared to seek the new ways to expand their
market.So, how much good quality that produced apple's  are it's of no use as it never got it's targeted consumer.So is the case with us(Third generation).Had they did some innovative thing than we would not have faced lots of problems.
I am optimistic.I have the will and power.I am educated but I don't have anyone to back me up.I don't have anyone to help me when I'll be in problem.This pinches my heart a lot.Though I've many desires and aspirations.I am confident.I've a vision.Only thing that I fear a lot is "Will all my efforts and struggles would go in vain?"I think of it a lot.But I am optimistic.  :)

Dream Love

Love.....Does it have meaning? HUmm....Yes, it does for me but for some it has different meaning....Then am I in love?DOn't know.....I keep on thinking of her.Her picture comes into my eyes and the string of my heart starts tunning to it's right tune.It starts composing the lyrics that I've written for her.Whenever I try to reach near her she vanishes suddenly.She is so preety,she is beautiful.I all the time get into her beautiful smile.BUt???? Hey,I don't klnow how she looks,however I only know that she has some kind of Aura..but hey  did I say she is pretty and beautiful?  Yes ,what my conscience says is that she is a beautiful girl and will be...Humm....her personality,her behavior,everything related to her is awesome.Though I have not met her till yet but I must tell you that,when she every-time comes into my mind,I see her through my heart and start giving me myself completely to her.She comes,sits near me,caress me and you know it feels really romantic.Roses....it's
petals...everywhere lying on the path that we travel through has amazing thing telling us every-time"Moin you are meant and created only for her,Please do take care of her." and I say , I surely will take care of her."

Do you have friends?

Hey,I've a question to ask you...Humm....Don't panic,it's not so hard as what you may be thinking. OK,Do you have friends?Humm...you are nodding there right? So, how many friends do you have? One?Two?Ten?Thirty?Fifty?two hundreds? I think you're busy counting now.
If we look it in our Facebook account than there we may feel blessed with many friends.Some of you may have 200 friends,some may have 500 friends and some even with 4000 friends,isn't it?Wow,than congratulation....But are they wroth it?Do you know them personally? or just you're somewhat famous in social networking sites or your profile picture seems cool and attractive,so they may have likened it and sent you with a friend request and you may then have accepted it?It's your personal choice whether to add and accept their friend request proposal.
Social networking sites may have helped you to be connected with known unknown friends.But think seriously,DO you actually have a real friend,who seriously is there with you in your happiness,in you sorrow,in you good moments and in your bad times?DO you have such friends who doesn't expect much with you rather than is there with you to lend his/her shoulder when you are in sad times,where you can share your any feelings without
any hesitation.Is there any friend where you can cry and speak loud or say anything that your heart thinks and later says you,you are right,I'll always be there by your side,whether you'll be like this forever or  change from what you are now.
Seems like now you're thinking it critically.We all want good friends and we also want our good friend circle's horizon get elongated.But sadly we even do not have ten friends such what I've mentioned above.There we may have 1000 friends in Face-book but in real sense we actually may not have any such friends where we can share our feelings without any hesitation.If you've any one or two or three,then you're lucky.
Now you may be asking,then how can we've such good friends,where can they be found?Who else are going to be my friend?
It's so simple,There are four things that you need to follow.If you do practice it in your daily life than you'll be happy by your own-self and with the friends you'll be with.
The first one is friendliness.You got to be friendly with everyone.If you do not try to be their friends than how'll they be your friends.If you'll expect it that,than you'll again be sad.so,the first thing is to start the move and try to be friendly with everyone.
The second thing is kindness.If you practice kindness than it'll help you a lot in being happy and to make a good and long-lasting friend.Kindness is something related to patience.For example,if someone says you something,which actually is making or irritating you but you'll say good thing for those in return or do not react than it is a sign of kindness.Forgive them for the deeds they did with you.
The third important thing is happiness.While talking to any known or unknown friends,you got to be happy every-other time.You should have at-least a smile on your face.It has a magic which can ultimately make you close with many people and even your smile can make someone else day.So, never frown,be happy and talk with them.they'll like you and also they'll want to be your friend and in the long run you'll retain them.
The fourth and last one is a vague thing and the most important ones,do not expect anything in return.We humans are always hopeful and will always expect something in return from others.For example,your friend will say you that he'll call you in the evening,eventually due to some busy schedule he forgets to call you but you'll expect his call for whole night and the next morning,you'll meet him and say all those things,which actually should not have said,but it'll be useless as it have done its work,which killed your friendship.
So,be friendly,do practice kindness,be happy and after all that do not expect anything in return,which is the best mantra to retain friends for a long time.
Be gentle,Be direct and say only good things and positive thing to retain good friends.Never lie to your friend or backbite in-front of others,this will ultimately make them sad and you'll lose your friend.

There are certain things to keep in mind in order to achieve what we wanted,First we need to manage self before we can manage  others.Second,we need to have clarity in our goal.Third,faith and belief in self.Fourth,an inner desire and zeal to achieve the goal.Fifth,willingness to work hard.sixth,accepting weaknesses weaknesses failures and striving to correct it and seventh,strong determination and will power to overcome all the challenges.So the list can go long but these are some basic thing,if we keep on working on it than for sure,very soon we'll achieve what we've always strive for.   :)

Possibilities

There are many moments in a day that I keep on thinking about my country"Nepal".While waking up or going to bed or in a college almost everywhere.Most often I talk about how is my country going to be with my account teacher,Hummm.....Account teacher??? Yes,Account teacher.I feel relief by his saying,his idea,his thoughts make me realize that yes someday soon my country"Nepal" is going to be good from what it's going through now.
My Account teacher says me that "Moin,see, everything will be alright,don't be pessimistic,there are many opportunities and chances to develop our country if the financial condition of the country improves."For a while I go into deep meditation and find that my Account teacher had said the true thing.
Country only improves when it has huge and suffiecient capitial,when it's free from debt,only then every country improves.But the paradox is how much we earn and generate income and revenues it all goes in vein.I question it to myself where are our remittances utilized?Where are our taxes used?
It has been only couple of days that I got an opportunity to meet Mr Nawaraj Silwal.He has been serving in Nepal Police for last two decades.What he said was"Our country unlike others too is in the hand of corrupted people.No-matter how much we do our work sincerely,the corrupted people take UN-adventage of our work.He has also painted out some rosy pictures saying that we as a citizen of a country have a numerous opportunities here in Nepal than the devolved countries." which is true.
Many politicians of our country are corrupted,Many high intellectual and having a high post in security forces are corrupted.News have been telecast-ed and printed on various media about those corrupted people.Former minister and lawmaker Shyam Sundar Gupta had committed an Un-forgivable crime of abducting businessman Pawan Kumar Sanghai.Though he was arrested,which is a good news but we can't sit quite as there are Lot's like him who can go to any extent to earn illegal income,And also on January 2012 APF DIG Ranjan Koirala killed his wife and the very reason for it was money.
OK let  tell you some positive thing too.Two years back I got an opportunity to meet the governor of Nepal "MR Yubraj Khatiwada".He is very down to earth person having a positive attitude regarding today's youth and economy.I asked him"How can we be an  entrepreneur , please elaborate?" then he smilingly said "To be an entrepreneur you got to be a researcher.You got to know about the market.You need to ask relevant questions to the people who are into the business.Go to the public vehicle,Observe what the people sell in the bus.Make good relations with those who are good in their business and then start yours thereafter.I was very much convinced by his saying but here in Nepal people want to be millionaire in an overnight.So for this they can go to any extent beyond their principles.Murder,killing,looting,abducting, threatening these all are the methods of being a millionaire overnight.Everyday we can hear that someone from this place of this age has been killed by unknown group,police have been searching,Investigating group have been formed and the investigation is on it's process.But the sad part is they hardly solve the case.
Except some powerful politicians,all the common people's lives are in risk.You never know what's going to happen in your life when you step out of your home.Journalist are the main victims as the speak the transparent voice and if it's related to someone with his misdeeds than they kill him.Late Jamim Shah,chairman of channel Nepal along with many others are just an example.
Constitution drafting process is coming to an end very soon.Major political parties are busy discussing regarding re-structuring the country.Bandhs,Chakka jams,Vandalism this sort of nefarious activities have been going on these days and don't know till when?There are questions that have been arising these days regarding,Will the
constitution be drafted on time?If it will then will it be accepted?Will it represent my rights?Will it talk about the Dalits,Madhesis,Muslims or any other ethinic group's rights?Will it give space to the third genders?So there are so many questions that people want to ask and know the answers.
Almost everyone are using the common and best platform to raise their voice by coming to the roads and protesting like this is the only their place and no-body have any right except they.
We as a general citizen of a country want peace and security.We don't want any violence and we want to stay in harmony.We don't belong to any party and also we don't have any interest in those parties.We don't want 11 or 7 pradesh.We want only our country.Don't split any part's of it.
Our country is in a transition period and with time transition is required but we don't want any that sort of transition that makes our country of no-where.
Corrupted politicians be aware.We are not fools as what you think.If we get united against you then there will be no place for you here in our beautiful country "Nepal".
